On Sunday Yahoo Inc. laid out plans for its more powerful web advertising management system one that they insist will make it much easier for companies to purchase and sell ads.

The platform is called AMP and stands for advertising management platform. it is designed to “significantly simplify the process of buying and selling ads online.”

Currently google’s AdSense” program leads the way when it comes to online advertising and with the unvailing of Yahoo’s new platform they are hoping to provide more competition for the giant of Google.

In a statement released by the company they say: “Integrated, web-based solution that allows unprecedented ease of cross-selling across a large ecosystem of buyers and sellers. It will allow advertisers to precisely yet easily target audiences while enabling publishers to better monetize their content.”

The company plans to begin rolling out AMP during the third quarter of this year, and hopes that their program will help boost the company so that they can avoid being swallowed up by Microsoft.
