3 Dead In China Hand, Foot And Mouth Disease

China has reported an outbreak of hand, foot and mouth disease which has already killed three infants under the age of one
An outbreak of hand foot and mouth disease has killed 3 children in eastern China, the second bout of cases in the country this year.

Hand foot and mouth disease is very contagious, and according to officials in the country they are taking immediate steps to limit exposure.

The disease is characterized by fever, paralysis and meningitis. The victims, all under the age of 1, all hailed from the same place, that being Jian’ou City. There is no vaccine for the disease as of yet.

In May more than 28,000 cases of the virus were reported, resulting in as many as 42 people dying.

Along with the 3 reported deaths, more than 100 cases of the disease have been reported so far.
