On Monday a television anchor for an Arkansas TV station was found in her home with life threatening injuries from a brutal attack.
The name of the woman is Anne Pressly, and she is the morning anchor for KATV-TV in Little Rock.
Police state that she may have been the victim of a robbery, as her purse is missing.
There was no forced entry into the residence, and police are looking for clues as to who attacked her.
Pressly was found by her mother at around 4:30 AM, lying in her own blood.
She was stabbed multiple times, and also beaten around the face and head.
“It’s not a neighborhood known for any violent crime,” said Sgt. Cassandra Davis of the Little Rock Police Department. “We do believe she was beaten.”
Pressly is listed in critical condition in hospital at this time.
