The University of Minnesota has set a new world record after 11,538 flu shots were administered yesterday.
The previous record was 3,271, meaning this record more than tripled the previous mark.
The previous mark was attained in Sanford, Florida, back in 2006.
More than 60 trained medical staff doled out the shots during a 9-hour spree yesterday at 4 stations set up across the campus.
University students, faculty, staff and their dependents were all eligible to receive the free flu shot.
The flu vaccine is being touted as a must have for all Americans, and free clinics are being set up all across the country to make it easy for people to get the shot.
