The FDA have defended their position on the stance that current levels of BPA found in the plastic that is used in the making of baby bottles is safe.

Earlier this week, an American panel of experts blasted the regulatory agency for not providing proof that BPA, known as bisphenol A was safe to ingest.

Many studies that have been published have found that babies who ingest the toxic chemical are at an increased risk of learning delays.

Knowing this, leading baby bottle manufacturers have even stopped using BPA in their products.

Yesterday, the FDA released a statement saying that they did not overlook any evidence provided that suggested that BPA was toxic.
