It is being reported that actor Kiefer Sutherland has been released from jail.
He had been spending some quality time behind bars after being convicted of drunken driving and violating probation, and was released after spending 48 days in a Southern California jail.
The 41-year-old actor left the Glendale City Jail shortly after midnight and was a model inmate, Glendale Police Officer John Balian said.
“He never gave us any problems, never complained about anything,” Balian said, adding that Sutherland spent most of his time on laundry duty.
Along with his jail sentence, Sutherland was also sentenced to five years probation, complete an 18-month alcohol education program and attend six months of weekly therapy sessions.
Sutherland is the star of the hit TV show “24,” which is back for its 7th season this year on Fox.
