Television ratings are in for last week and according to the numbers the CBS news program featuring anchor Katie Couric continues to draw poor ratings.
Recently it has been reported that the network were prepared to axe Katie Couric from the position as news anchor, rumors that all involved in have denied.
The news cast attracted approximately 50,000 less people last week than the record low of the previous week, averaging just over 5 million viewers.
On the top of the ladder for news programs last week sits NBC, closely followed by ABC.
When comparing CBS to the next network for news viewership, there is more than a 2 million viewer difference.
Not all is bad in the land of CBS, as for last week overall they were the number one watched network, thanks in large to the “CSI” franchise.” The network averaged just over 9 million viewers a night for the week.
