It has been announced that Bon Jovi will be playing a free concert in New York Central Park.
The concert will take place on July 12th, and will be the kick off for the MLB baseball allstar game, to be played in New York on July 15.
It will begin at 8 PM, and according to reports, will not be televised.
“We’ve gotten the chance to bookend what is the most successful tour in the world this year with a free concert for anyone in New York,” frontman Jon Bon Jovi said at a news conference alongside New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and other officials. “I just travelled the world again, and New York is still the greatest city in the world.”
Tickets can be picked up as early as July 2nd from baseball parks around New York.
This years’ allstar game is being played at Yankee stadium and will feature the best of both the National and American leagues.
