Senator John McCain has been given a clean bill of health after having a skin biopsy.
The senator is being closely watched by his dermatologist, after previously beating back melanoma on multiple occasions.
He receives regular check ups to make sure he is healthy, and like many other check ups he has had, this one proved to be all clear.
This biopsy was of a piece of skin which is part of a small growth on the side of his face.
“The biopsy that was performed did not show any evidence of skin cancer. No further treatment is necessary,” said Michael Yardley, a spokesman for the Mayo Clinic.
McCain will turn 72 years of age this August.
