The movie 50 Dead Men Walking is causing quite a buzz as it portrays the life of a security agent who manages to infiltrate the Irish Republican Army, IRA
Creators of the movie “50 Dead Men Walking” are standing behind their movie, despite accusations that it is a misportrayal of the life of a security agent who manages to get in deep with the Irish Republican Army otherwise known as the IRA.
The movie is loosely based on the life of Martin McGartland, who is threatening legal action against the makers of the film due to them mis-telling some of his life story.
Stars that can be seen in the movie include; Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess and Kevin Zegers.
The creators of the film have insisted more than once, that he is not the center of their film.
“He was also given the opportunity to have the name of the lead character replaced with a fictional character name, which he declined,” said Future Films and HandMade Films International, who say they attained the rights to his biography.
The film is set to open at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, and will do so facing a lot of controversy.
McGartland has stated that he will be flying to Toronto to protest the opening of the movie in Sept.
