Boston (ChatterShmatter) – Warner Bros. has announced that they are going to launch a new “on demand” DVD service to let fans order any movie that they want on a custom DVD.
The idea behind it is to basically allow consumers to order any film that has not yet been released on DVD, and put it on a custom-DVD for $20.
The DVD would be shipped out to the customers and would be received within 1 week of the order.
There are still nearly 7,000 movies in the Warner Bros. vault that have yet to be released on DVD, but that is changing.
Warner Bros. feels that this will help and should be highly-attractive to consumers.
This will allow for many classic films to be seen on DVD for the first time.
Consumers can also order films digitally and can be downloaded for just $15.
