Washington (ChatterShmatter) – A recall has been announced in regards to pistachios being potentially contaminated with the salmonella bacteria.
The recall has been announced by the Kroger Co., and has already been fully acknowledged by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Kroger Co. announced the recall that has impacted 31 states in the U.S., with their Private Selection Shelled Pistachios being the focus of it all.
The recall includes 10 ounce cans of the pistachios, with a sell by date of either December 13th or 14th.
There has yet to be any illnesses reported being linked to the salmonella pistachios.

Salmonella can cause potentially fatal infections, with symptoms including fever, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
