Boston (ChatterShmatter) – The highly-feared Conficker worm virus up to this point is turning out to be a major flop, and nothing but a big April Fools’ joke.
There was the potential today that up to 15 million PCs would be infected by the virus, but it is not happening.
The worm virus was believed to have the power to spread through networks, stealing passwords, credit card numbers, files, etc.
None of this has happened yet though making many believe that it is just a big fat April Fools’ Day prank.
The morning is just kicking off so there is the potential that we will still see the worm virus spring into action.
As of right now though experts believe that as long as your anti-virus software is up to date you should be perfectly fine throughout the day.
We will have to wait and see as the Conficker has yet to do any damage.
