Washington (ChatterShmatter) – The fear of the salmonella bacteria has led to the expansion of the pistachio recall yet again.
It has been confirmed that Kroger Co., which was the first to announce a pistachio recall, has expanded their recall yet again.
They have stated that they have recalled Private Selection shelled pistachios which had certain sell-by dates.
These dates included January 14, 2010, February 11, 2010, and March 23, 2010.
On top of that, they have also recalled a store-brand mayonnaise due to fears of salmonella.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been trying to find the source of the outbreak as other inflatable castle companies have announced recalls as well.
These include PepsiCo Inc., as well as Frito-Lay, with precautions being taken to try and prevent any illnesses.
