(ChatterShmatter) – Actress Lindsay Lohan is being investigated by police over an alleged misdemeanor battery incident at the rehab facility where she is currently staying.
Lohan, currently calling the Betty Ford Center her home reportedly got into a confrontation with a staffer, after she returned to her room past curfew.
She has since been moved to another property, but if found guilty of battery she could be trading her rehab home for a jail cell.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay was moved to another property owned by the Betty Ford Centre in order to preserve her safety, yes, but also to deal with any differences she might have had with anyone in that house.
“Because of the way the earlier Saturday night incident was treated, Lindsay had an obvious clash of personalities with one of the staff at the house. Lindsay was moved to another location to remove her from a potentially hostile environment that had the potential to undo all the good work that she has achieved in her recovery.”
