French model Isabelle Caro, who has battled anorexia for the majority of her life has died at the young age of 28. She died on November 17 after returning to France from a modelling job in Tokyo only to be hospitalized with a serious lung infection.
She shot to fame in 2007 when she posed naked for an Italian ad campaign promoting the dangers of anorexia nervosa and other eating disorders, posing naked for pics that showed her vertebrae and facial bones. She even authored a book in 2008 entitled “The Little Girl Who Didn’t Want to Get Fat,” but was in and out of hospitals since the tender age of 13.
