The Milwaukee blizzard is one of the biggest in history and is expected to hit hard beginning later tonight. The city has announced that starting at 11:00 PM tonight a snow emergency will be in effect as more than 20 inches of snow is expected to fall overnight, combined with a wind up to 50 miles per hour.
So far the massive snow storm has hit hard in Chicago, beginning late last night and lasting the majority of the day today. Many other Midwestern states have or will also be hit by the snow storm, causing hundreds of plane cancelations, school closures and traffic jams. Because of the pending Milwaukee blizzard schools let out early today and even businesses closed up shop a little earlier.
