The Milwaukee blizzard has already resulted in a fair bit of snow bringing life to a standstill and the worst is far from over. Another 12 to 16 inches of snow is expected to fall before all is said and done, making this snow fall one of the biggest in recent history.
Forecasters indicate that late Tuesday into early Wednesday is when the storm will be at its peak, along with gusting winds up to 50MPH. “Visibility will drop to almost nothing. Roads could get impassible drifts,” stated Weather Service meteorologist Jake Wimberley. Starting at 11:00PM, the city of Milwaukee will declare a snow emergency and crews will be out all night trying to clear roads as fast as possible.
