Results of a new study show that mothers who work a lot of hours are more likely to have overweight children. The study was conducted by researchers from American University, the University of Chicago, as well as Cornell University and featured nearly 900 children who were not yet in high school.
The study found that the more hours a mother works, the less likely she is to come home and cook nutritious food for their kids, a fact that results in them eating poorly. To feed their kids, mothers who work a lot are more likely to choose faster options such as fastfood for dinners and other forms of take out.
