Ever since rumors began to swirl that Lindsay Lohan was a jewelry thief, the Mean Girls star has preached her innocense.
She emphatically denies having anything to do with the stolen necklace even though she was seen wearing it, but apparently is considering a plea deal to avoid possibly more jail time.
Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley tells CNN: ” Ms. Lohan maintains her innocence, and now that I’ve seen the police reports, I believe the case is entirely defensible. Having said that, we will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career.”
If that is not an admission of guilt then I do not know what is. The necklace was even returned to the damn store just before Lohan’s house was searched by the cops.
Lindsay tweeted: “i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal. … also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd.”
