Tiger Woods faught back today with a third round of 72 at the Dubai Desert Classic, as he tries to win for the first time in over a year. The former world number one opened his round with a bogey today but got his game back under control to finish one behind the lead.
“The fact I was able to battle from 4 over par and put myself with a chance going into tomorrow, I’m proud of that,” Woods said. “Hopefully, I can build on that.” He is tied for fourth, one shot back of the leaders: Rory McIlroy (75), Anders Hansen (71) and Thomas Aiken (74).
