Houston (ChatterShmatter) – With week 4 of the NFL season upon is, it is time for ChatterShmatter to make its selection for the lock of the week, and this week we are focusing on the Miami Dolphins against the San Diego Chargers.
The San Diego Chargers are -8 in the 4:15 p.m. game on Sunday and they are going up against a Miami Dolphins team that has a lot to prove.
The Miami Dolphins are winless as of right now, and the job of their head coach Tony Sporano is on the line.
After this week they have a bye week leading into a Monday Night Football game, and if they don’t win this one, it is likely the end of their season and their coach’s reign.
The Miami Dolphins are likely going to be without their rookie running back Daniel Thomas, but that will put more pressure on Reggie Bush to really step up.
What this could mean is a far more wide open offense for Chad Henne, with more focus on short-yardage passing to Bush & company, as well as utilizing Brandon Marshall as well as Davone Bess to open things up.
The Miami Dolphins defense will be the star of the show this afternoon though, and I expect them to keep it close. I expect the San Diego Chargers to win, but not by more than a touchdown.
ChatterShmatter’s prediction: San Diego 31 – Miami 24.
