The one and only Woody Allen has filed a law suit against American Apparel, claiming that they used an image of him to promote their clothing without his consent.
The law suit, seeking more than 10 mill in damages, was filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan and concerns ads depicting the Oscar winning director dressed as a rabbi, and are located on billboards in New York and California.
According to Allen, the company did not contact him to offer compensation for the use of his image to promote their clothing line.
“Allen does not engage in the commercial party jumpers endorsement of products or services in the United States,” according to the lawsuit.
American Apparel have yet to comment on the suit.
