The latest Batman adventure has made more than 300 million dollars since it was released 10 days ago, a new boxoffice record.
The movie stars Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, and since it was released 10 days ago, has raked in more than 314 mill.
This weekend alone at the box office it made more than 75 million bucks.
During its first weekend of release, it made more than 158 million dollars.
Many feel that in due time, the movie may become the highest grossing movie in US history, a spot that currently belongs to Titanic.
As far as biggest movies of the year goes, The Dark Knight trails only “Iron Man” for that honor.
The previous record when it came to the time it took to reach the 300 million dollar plateau belonged to “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” at 16 days.
