After a terrible start to their season, the San Diego Chargers have turned things around in a big way.
Last night their latest victim was the Indianapolis Colts who they thumped 36-14, intercepting Colts quarterback Peyton Manning four times along the way.
This is the fourth victory in a row for the Bolts, who remain just one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC West Division lead, a position that nobody expected was possible after the first six games of the season.
“It has that same feeling when we play the Colts, it’s like a playoff game,” Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers said. “We’ve been on the ‘W’ side of it now for a few times in a row.”
“Hopefully we can get some guys back (next week) against Dallas,” Manning said. “If we don’t, the guys that are starting with myself, just have to play better.”
