With Brett Favre seemingly out of the mix, maybe the Minnesota Vikings can start winning some games and they looked great doing just that as they downed the heavily favored Philadelphia Eagles 24-14 last night. Rookie Joe Webb threw for 195 yards and did not turn the ball over, and Adrian Peterson ran for 118 yards.
This was a classic let down spot for the Eagles, who came from 21 points down in the fourth quarter in their game last week to topple the New York Giants. In last nights game, their renound defense did not seem to bother Webb in the slightest. “You always have to show (your team mates) that you have confidence no matter the score. My team mates were rallying behind me the whole game and I have to give those guys credit,” he told reporters after the game.
