Today is February fourth otherwise known as Wear Red Day 2011, a day to promote the risk factors associated with heart disease. Heart disease kills hundreds of thousands of Americans each year but in many cases it is preventable through proper diet and exercise.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death for American women, even surpassing all types of cancer combined. Men and women who smoke and drink alcohol are at the greatest risk of developing the condition that when diagnosed results in the heart slowly failing. Will you be wearing some red today to promote risk factors associated with the condition?
